Helping an online golf retailer grow and evolve
Supporting Golf Direct through website design, supplier product imports, email marketing and long-term eCommerce development over more than a decade.
An established golf retailer with a large and busy online catalogue
Golf Direct needed a website that could support a broad retail offer, make products easier to browse and manage, and help the business keep moving forward as product ranges and supplier feeds changed over time.
This kind of eCommerce work is not just about how the site looks. It also needs practical systems behind it, with product imports, category organisation, clear customer journeys and ongoing support that keeps the site commercially useful.
Website design, product import management and ongoing digital support
My role has included helping shape the website itself, supporting product import workflows from different suppliers, and contributing to the broader digital activity around the store, including email marketing and ongoing improvement.
Key areas of support
- Website design and eCommerce development support
- Product import management from multiple suppliers
- Catalogue organisation and practical retail setup
- Email marketing support
- Ongoing website improvements over a long-term partnership
- Continued work towards a new build and next-stage platform improvement
Why it matters
With online retail, the site, the product data and the customer journey all need to work together. Supporting Golf Direct over time has meant helping keep the platform practical, manageable and commercially useful as the business and product range have continued to evolve.
Ongoing support, not a one-off project
One of the strongest parts of this project is the length of the relationship.
Golf Direct is also now moving into a new build, which reinforces the same theme — not standing still, but continuing to improve the eCommerce platform so it stays effective, manageable and commercially relevant.
A retail platform that needs to move with the business
eCommerce websites are never really finished. Product ranges change, suppliers change, customer expectations change and platforms need to keep up.
This project is a good example of that long-term reality. Rather than treating the site as fixed, the work has been about ongoing support, practical management and continued improvement, with the current new build representing the next stage of that process.
That kind of continuity is valuable for businesses that need a digital partner who understands both the customer-facing side and the operational side of running an online store.
How I can help
I help businesses improve websites so they are clearer, easier to use and more effective commercially. That can mean better structure, stronger product pages, improved shopping journeys, clearer calls to action, or ongoing support to help a website keep moving in the right direction.
